International Malaysian Society of Maritime Law (IMSML) is a brainchild of visionary individuals, who shared an aim to support moral and ethical practices in the Malaysian maritime framework.
Laying down it's foundation in December 2015, IMSML's main objective is the advancement of law reforms pertaining to maritime law, facilitation of justice in it's arbitration and to encourage equality in it's enactment and interpretation. Strength lies in number, and to fortify it's goal IMSML invites dedicated members from the Malaysian shipping sector. The members come from a diverse background, consisting of lawyers, judges, corporate professionals, representatives of major exporters, shipping companies, port operators, government officials to defence force representatives. Each member brings to this forum his set of skills and expertise to fortify the pillars of this recently established society.
These members, and the founders of IMSML come from different professional fields but unite for a single objective - to assist in the advancement of Malaysian maritime and arbitration laws, and practices, and to forge cross-boarder exchange of ideas and ideals.
